I previously worked with children in a managing role at a Nursery, supporting families and encouraging children’s social, physical and emotional development. Since becoming a parent, I deeply believe in the power of sleep for both babies and parents. Early childhood sleep is foundational to healthy development, and I want to make a positive impact on families by helping them navigate what can often feel like the overwhelming challenge of getting their little ones to sleep well.
I started a career in sleep consultancy because I know from experience how hard sleep deprivation is! I am a Mum of two beautiful children, who could not be more different in their personalities. My first born was not a good sleeper, but she wasn’t awful. My husband and I sleep trained her when she was 10 months old because she was waking around 2-3 times a night, wanting to be rocked back to sleep. Within 2 nights of sleep training, she was sleeping through.
My son, however, struggled so much more with his sleep. He had a cows milk allergy and silent reflux, which resulted in him being awake constantly in the night seeming uncomfortable and needing to be soothed back to sleep. Once we got his allergy and reflux under control, we attempted sleep training using the same method we used for our daughter. However, he was 18 months at this point and the method we tried just wasn’t right for him and his personality. We gave up and struggled on for another 3 years! I was exhausted and struggling mentally from the lack of sleep.
And this is why I tailor my support to each family- because all children are different, so there should not be a ‘one size fits all approach’ to sleep training. I work with you to get to know your day to day life, your routine, your current sleep issues and your end goals. I create a bespoke plan tailored to your family to ensure you feel more rested and in control by the end of the sleep training process.
